more quilt show photos-minis

Inspired by Bonnie's quilt show photo, I thought the next batch would be the minis-none are antique however.

Guess which one is my favorite? That's right, these sweet bright squares! No, I don't remember exact sizes-but I would say, 3 inches finished or less. I can see the attraction and appeal of doing a mini...but I don't think these fall into the "quick" catagory !

Cher ... the brights remind me of postage stamp squares with frames, and 3'' would be about the right size. Not a quick one tho!

Great quilt show pictures! I like the bright boxes best too..*VBS* It's almost like a 9 patch made of boxes instead of blocks..*G* I like that! And it ;ooks like you could use any size square for the center that you wanted to...might not be such a bad quick quilt..Hugs, Finn

At first I liked the bold bright boxes but the more I look I think I like the repro stars. I looks like a complicated pattern. Catches my eye.

Hummm, that square quilt looks like it is right up my alley - chain pieced!!! I have seen it done before on a big quilt using all dark browns and more defining a 9 patch layout within each 9 patch - but I like this bright version so much better! Amazing what fabric choice will do to a quilt pattern.

Cheers!

I have to add my me too here. :-) I like the last one best. It's similar to what I'm currently cutting for another of my nieces. But hers will have MUCH bigger blocks. I'm starting with 4-1/2" squares and using 2-1/2" strips around them to finish at 8" blocks.

What a happy page Cher.

And the rainbows. Wow.

And bright colors lift the spirit so.
