It's All About Me, and it's My Turn!

I want to say thanks to Mdm Samn for coming up with such a fun and creative hop, and also to the very best cheerleader ever, Marlene.  Thanks Marlene for being so kind, patient, and always emailing with answers and all the details we needed in such a timely manner.

Of course thanks to Amy Bradley for giving us such a humorous and delightful pattern to play with.

Too late, I realized I did not have to follow the pattern so exactly...I have so enjoyed visiting all the hoppers to date and seeing what they did-so many creative and wonderful different versions.
I am working out of my stash this year, and the only thing I truly had to buy was the steam a seam stuff.  I had great stripes to chose from and my favorite color purple worked perfectly.
I also had matching purple thread in my stash, so quilting down the lines was easy.

I really am not an applique person, so this really pushed my comfort zone way out.
Please be sure to go visit all the other hoppers for today on the list below!

Marathon Quilter-you are already here!

ps...sorry, just figured out how to turn OFF the word verification! apparently it was a default setting I had not noticed...
Thanks for stopping by!  Cher

Cher, you did well, even if you are not that nuts about applique. I love that the liberated you eliminated a corner of the design as that is more YOU than this shows. Well, other than the purple and the shades that is. ( I know you a little better than a lot of the commenters will, right?) Well done, my friend!

I think you are supposed to turn off the "prove you are not a robot" deal just for the day. I can tell you were the setting is if you can't find it.
