1st scrap top finished

Here is the first total scrap top completed. It came out to be 63 inches by 39 inches-close to what I was aiming for. It took longer of course to get the last third done and on. Another bobbin of thread-I think I totaled about 5 bobbins of thread working on this plus the other parts that will go into the next top. I think next up will be some quilting time. The quilting plan for this top will be a lot of stippling in a neutral thread.Happy to have this one done!

Cool - is the top done or are you considering a border....

Where is the kitchen sink. It turned out great. Just think of all those little scraps that are now organized into a beautiful top. Good going.

Great Quilt!
must have be challenging to do, I know it would be for me! I love the idea of the freedom of making this quilt though. I just may have to try this some day.

Wow, you have been busy sewing! I can't figure out how all those pieces fit together - such a puzzle! Looks good. How big of a dent did it make in your scrap pile? I am going to start measuring my quilts to keep track of yardage just out of curiosity.

Cheers!

looks really awesome Cher!!!
Of course I had to double click and look at the fabrics...LOL. Amazing how many I have of those old ones..*G*

I think you did an awesome job. There is alot more sewing in this type of scrap quilt than people realize.

I was interested in what you said over at my blog, about machine tacking. Can you drop me an "e" and sort of fill in the blanks? I imagine you stick it under and do a stitch or two and then back tack and move to another spot??
