input asked ?

I finished the guild blocks last night and this morning started on the winter swap design. Here are two blocks- I would love input on which star point colors you think look best? Remember the idea is Winter....so keeping that theme in mind....leave a comment please.

thanks for helping me out- by the way I took my 30% coupon and bought another quarter foot for my Bernina-now the lost one will surely turn up!

I like the gold as the white strikes me as a little stark in the contrast. Cool block, Cher.

Of course that foot will turn up now that you stopped looking for it--ever see it to fail, LOL?

I like the white if it's trying to be a snowflake, but if it's a star, then I like the gold... I guess I like the gold more anyway... Good luck with the new foot! I predict it won't even take a week for the other one to turn up! Em

I am glad you were able to find a foot for your machine! I like the yellow star best. However, if the theme is winter, I think the white star "fits" better. I love both though!

I love the gold points BUT . . . winter, to me, has always been blue and white. My winter decorating starts with my blue and white quilts and my blue and white with snowflakes table cloth. Picture a wonderful clear cold winter day - snow everywhere covering everything except for the blue, blue sky.

Hope you are feeling better!

I think the white comes across more like winter. The gold one is bright enough that it could represent summer

My exact comment, Jade. The Blue/White combo just look cold ...

Coming from a gal who really like blue & yellow - I vote for WHITE!

I agree that white looks more like winter, cold in keeping with the season.

I like the crisp white and blue. Reminds me of snowflakes. They're both adorable though. Love the wonky points!

I like them both! Why choose?

Whaite, white, white!
(But if you ae using a LOT of stars, one or two could be yellow.)

White - but I love them both. The yellow exudes more warmth in keeping with summer in my opinion. ~from the girl who isn't good with color :)

I think the white looks more like winter but they both look great. A scrappy version of these stars is on my *quilts to make one day* list

I like them both -- though the yellow really makes me think of a winter night's sky. I think it depends on the overall pattern of the top.

Boy, fat lot of help we are...LOL.
I'm with the rest of them, I like them both. The yellow(gold) seems warmer to me, but the white gives a really cold stark contrast and I like that as well. It seems more 'wintery' to me.
Glad to hear you had a 'jammies' day...hope you weren't really TOO sick! Big hugs, Finn

White for winter... votes from a person in Minnesota should count double.

I really like the blue and white for winter. I like how the points are a little different in size. It's going to look wonderful!

I think the white looks best. Reminds me of snow and winter. They are both very pretty though.
