top finished under the midnight wire

If I don't post too much I will get this uploaded right before midnight. I wasn't sure if this would work with only two colors, however, I think it actually turned out all right. It's 40 inches by 56 inches, a nice sized lap quilt. Tomorrow, seam the backing, sandwich, pin, and quilt. I am considering yellow for the binding..as the back will be yellow. This all came from stash by the way!
If I am real brave, I have a wonderful varigated purple thread to quilt it with...you can't have too much purple, right?

I like it! And I think the variegated thread is a great idea. What are you going to do as a design? I'm sure it will comfort your friend for a long time.

Very fresh-looking with the purple and white. Purple variegated should set it off a treat.

verigated purple with a yellow binding will be really cheerful. And you made it, just under the midnight wire :-)

IT looks great and you are right. You can never have too much purple. THe varigated purple should make a really nice quilting accent.

What did I tell you---you would keep plugging just to prove me wrong about biting off too much for the weekend! Looks nice and worked up quickly especially since I know you didn't have a thing cut till later in the day.

I don't believe there is ever enough purple! Also good in combo with yellow or gold.

You've probably already started the quilting but I have to say that I would go with white thread - I don't like dark thread on a light background - just a personal choice based on a BAD experience!

Gotta love that 11:59 time line...LOL. Great job on the quilt! I think it's wonderful..! I don't think you could make one that isn't a great quilt.
I hope you are brave enough to use the purple, but certainly understand that it's going to someone else..*VBS* I'm sure they will love whatever you do. Hugs, Finn

Two-colour quilts are always fresh and clean looking, no matter what two colours they are! The variegated thread for quilting will be great :-)

Hi Cher,

I forgot to let you know last evening that I mailed your package yesterday. It should reach you probably on Friday. Hope it will be of use to you ... if not, feel free to pass it along.
Jeanne :)
