possible wonky village layout
Here is what will be the most likely lay out of the wonky village. I probably will have to not use the top most house-between words-as it is really too large. Your feedback is welcome on ideas for more of the border-I am considering some smaller "huts" or ??
Well, I want to see the lion! I wonder if you could adapt a cat block into a yellowy orange lion - either the face or the reclining body along the bottom?
I had some friends in college who used to sing that song ad nauseum. Once it gets stuck in your head, it's hard to get out! Then we had some long involved discussions about how the lion doesn't sleep at night, it's nocturnal, it HUNTS at night... and lions aren't jungle animals, they're creatures of the grassland and savannah... lol
*a wim-a-weh, a wim-a-weh... *
Isn't it funny how intense you can be at that age?
Looks wonderful, Cher. Love the purple house in particular. The letters look great - very easy to read. Excellent job.
You know what, my first thought too was "lion." You could free-piece one if you're feeling daring or maybe there's some good lion fabric? Or quilt him in...
I love those houses! If I remember right, isn't there a lion in the fabric on the roof of one of those houses? I couldn't get it to enlarge to check. If there's not already, it definately needs a lion.
I forgot - I love Tonya's idea of quilting in a Lion's head maybe in that yellow block in the top left corner. Make it one of those surprises you see when you look closer or a second look!
It's look fun and fabulous Cher!! Love all the color, and you did such a good job with the letters!
What if you moved the uppermost house down to rest next to the T in Tonight? Let it kind of replace the cheddar/pink section, but not completely. I do think it gets lost up in the upper border. Maybe if you trimmed off some of the dark and added a bit of some other color to each side? Probably would still be too tall..right? Hmmmmmm.. I'll think on it..*G*

Oh this is so FUN! I like the house in the border. I would make the border wide enough for it to fit in! It is perfect there!
