more color for the wonky village

I am tempted to blame Nancy for influencing me to buy more fqs...but the truth is I have used up all bright tone on tone yardage and the few scraps I have were just not enough! I have been working on designing a background for the wonky village and thanks to brainstorming with LJ, have come up with a pretty workable concept. Now to get back to more house building and playing with color-raw materials having now arrived on site. So- a photo to give you an idea of what to be looking for in the upcoming days...nights....

Fat quarters are GOOD. Buying fat quarters is good. Now look how much fun you can have with these lizards!

Cher...that will brighten it up!! I can't believe you of all people have run low on brights..what is the world coming to? I totally agree with LJ on the background...just go for it, I can hear the jungle roaring already! There will be NO lions sleepin' in the jungle tonight.

LOL! You ain't gonna blame that collection on me! Love the lizards. I'm tempted to ask where you bought them but I guess I'll be good and only buy what comes in my monthly packet until I use some other stuff up first. :-)

I'm thinking of using some of my batiks on my houses. Just have to wait until I can find that box before I can start.

Well, of course you need more fabrics - you just did a TON of scrap quilts! What a way to celebrate. I have just recently fallen in love with fat quarters myself - and I really like your selection - can't wait to see your village grow!

Cheers!
